On the 15th my wonderful husband and I needed a break. We took a drive in our new 4x4 to Chilliwack Lake. We enjoyed our time lounging on the beach, fishing and reading. :)
Took this picture of foxgloves and then.... Sadly, just before we started our hike, my batteries died and I found out that the spares I keep in my bag were also dead. :(
Just before midnight, the power went off at our house. My wonderful husband looked out the window...and this is what we could see. Flames and sparks lighting up the night sky. New, unfinished apartments goin' up in smoke. They are probably about five blocks away.
